Hey Dave, please explain the following:

1) How many years do you have to be a member to switch from a "new member" to a "junior member"?

2) What do the number of stars below each name signify?

3) Recently I've noticed some folders with unusual graphics. What does this mean?

Keep up the great work on the site. Yuda man, as always.

Well, I'm not Dave but I think the answers are:

1. It's not the years, it's the mileage i.e., it's driven by how many posts you've made. I believe you change from "New Member" to "Junior Member" at 25 and "Senior Member" at 100. You need to talk more!

2. Also driven by the number of posts, not sure what the number is there though.

3. Can you give an example? I haven't noticed them.

For example, on the yellow folders on the far left for "Site Comments" and "How About A Little Advertising" seem to be flashing. I am using Internet Explorer here at home. I will try Firefox when I get back to work.

Oh, got it. That indicates a "hot topic" i.e., one with more than a certain number of replies.

OK on the "hot topic". BTW, when browsing with Firefox, there are no folders on the leftmost two columns--only empty boxes.

Hey Dave,

How about changing the forum to disable posts by people who don't have accounts like this one and its replies. Allowing posts by guests only invites spam.

Dave, thanks so much for the Big Dogs website. I've been using it since 2005 and I love it. It's a great way to log my rides. Wish I could meet some of the other Big Dogs in person. Question: Is there a way that I can get a report on annual statistics for previous years. From what I can see right now, I have to go through every month of rides in my log and add the monthly totals to get prior years totals.

OK, no takers on that suggestion. How about going in and deleting some of the spam?

If Dave does that, how will I find out about escort services and where to buy cheap gold?
